Heart Attack Proves Fatal To C. F. Adler
Well Known Citizen Of Plymouth County Dies Unexpectedly Saturday Morning
Lived Here 60 Years
Family Among Early Settlers In Marion Township

C. F. Adler, 77, 11 Fourth avenue SW., retired farmer and resident of Plymouth county for 60 years, died at his home Saturday, April 2. His death was due to an attack of heart trouble and came unexpectedly although he had been ailing in health some time. Mr. Adler was out a day or two before his death attending to his daily affairs.

Christian F. Adler was born in Hennepin county, Minnesota, near St. Paul, where he attended the public schools and grew to manhood. When a youth of 17 he came with his parents to Le Mars. The family settled in Marion township. Mr. Adler farmed for a number of years in Marion township and acquired more land in Sioux county and in South Dakota. He was a successful farmer and stock raiser and a capable manager. Retiring from the farm he lived in Le Mars the past 23 years attending to his business interests and maintaining a fine home.

Mr. Adler was a good citizen and neighbor, a devoted husband and father. His associates had confidence In his business ability and judgment.

He was married in Chicago December 11, 1889, to Miss Anna Gronow, who survives him with five sons and a daughter, George Adler, Howard, S. D., Mrs. Neda Karley, Le Mars, Ben and Gary of Le Mars, Walter Adler of Sioux Falls, S. D., and Lawrence Adler of Fremont, Neb. One son died In Infancy.

Funeral This Afternoon

The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Mauer chapel. Rev. W. M. Hubbard of the First Methodist church will conduct the services. Interment will be made in the city cemetery.
