Harold Dugan, 76, longtime Le Mars resident, died unexpectedly at his home, 300 First St. S.E., Le Mars sometime Thursday (October 30, 1969). He was alone at home.

He was born Oct. 9, 1893, at Kingsley the son of the late James and Ellen Peebles Dugan. He lived there until 1929 when he moved to Le Mars where he has since resided.

His marriage to Josephine Stodden took place Jan. 24, 1921, at Mapleton. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a veteran of WW 1.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic church. Rev. Dean Walker will officiate and burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home.

Parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Survivors are his wife, Josephine; a son, Allen J. Dugan, Denver; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Thalia) Herbert, Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Kenneth (Shelia) Burkett, Le Mars. There are seven grandchildren.

Mr. Dugan was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and a sister.
