Theodore (Ted) Wiebersch, 93, Remsen native and retired Le Mars-Remsen area farmer, died Thursday (Dec. 20, 1984) at Floyd Valley Hospital Le Mars. He had been a resident of Remsen Happy Siesta Retirement Home the last eight years.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Le Mars, with Rev. Francis Staber officiating. Burial will in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the Luedtke-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars where friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday. Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 3, 1891 at Remsen to Matthew and Elizabeth Nothem Wiebersch. He was an army veteran of World War I. The Remsen Veterans of Foreign Wars post will conduct military rites at the graveside.
His marriage to Josephine Beck took place June 15, 1918, in Le Mars. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. The couple farmed near Oyens and moved to Le Mars in 1959. Mrs. Wiebersch preceded him in death.
Survivors are a sister, Margaret Young of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and John; and three sisters, Lena Kirsch, Kate Young and Philomena Frank.
