Michael Goebel Stricken Suddenly
Heart Attack Yesterday Fatal To Well Known Farmer;
Funeral Saturday.

Michael Goebel, prominent Fredonia township farmer, died Wednesday evening in his home northwest of town following a heart attack. He was 65 years old.

Mr. Goebel had been in poor health for several years and recently submitted to an operation, having a leg amputated.

Wednesday evening he had dinner with Mrs. Goebel and seemed in good spirit and apparently was in good physical condition. After dinner Mr. Goebel was seated beside the radio to enjoy a program when suddenly he collapsed and passed away shortly.

The body is at the Fisch funeral home. Funeral services will be in St. Mary’s Catholic church Saturday morning at 9:30 o’clock.

Mike Goebel, Remsen, Died Wednesday After Lengthy Illness

Mike Goebel, 65, died Wednesday evening at 7 o’clock at his home at Remsen, following a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Ione of Omaha, Helen and Eileen, of Remsen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at St. Mary’s church at Remsen. Msgr. M. A. Schemel will read the mass. Fisch Funeral Home will have charge.
