Mrs. Frances Crowley, 68, a Le Mars native and longtime resident, died Tuesday (Sept. 19, 1978) unexpectedly at Merritt hospital, Oakland, Calif.

She had gone to visit friends at Oakland. Death was attributed to a heart attack. She had been hospitalized four days.

Mrs. Crowley, the former Frances Brauch, had returned years ago to make her home in Le Mars. She lived for 25 years in Colorado.

After visiting friends recently in Colorado, she flew to California for a visit.

She was born April 30, 1910, in Le Mars to Val and Clara Keffeler Brauch. She attended schools here and lived for 25 years in LaJuanta, Colo. Her marriage to Joseph Crowley took place in the late 1930's.

Mrs. Crowley was a member of St. Joseph's church and Catholic Daughters of America.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's' church with Rev. Francis Staber officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Luedtke funeral home.

A prayer service will be at 4 p.m. Friday and the rosary at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
