LOREN Howe
Loren Howe, 73, of Goehner, Nebraska, died April 8, 2002. Services were held April 11, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Goehner. Burial was in Mound Prairie Cemetery, Goehner. Mr. Howe was born May 8, 1928, to George and Amanda Howe. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and served on the Church Board, as a Trustee and in the church choir. He was employed with the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, in the Maintenance Department and was a Master Plumber. He was a well driller for Pieper Plumbing and well Drilling of York, Nebraska. He was a 30 year member of the Goehner Volunteer Fire Department. He served as the Mayor of Goehner and also on the Goehner Town Board. Preceded him in death by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Mavis Howe, sisters-in-law Shirley Howe and Bonnie Nielsen. He is survived by his wife Bernice of Goehner, children and their spouses Jerry and Sue of Glendale Arizona, James of Goehner, Craig and Sue of Kearney, Nebraska, Rod and Jana of Omaha, Nebraska, Mary and Russ Kent of Crete, Nebraska, Tom and Shelley of North Platte, Nebraska, Rich and Pat Seward, Nebraska, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a brother Lowell Howe of Phoenix, Arizona, a brother-in-law Odie Nielsen of James, Iowa.
