LOIS LANG
Lois Kathryn Lang, 75, of Hinton died Friday, February 2, 2001, at Brentwood Good Samaritan center in Le Mars following a lengthy illness. The former Lois Kathryn Spies was born November 30, 1925, in Sioux City, the daughter of Milton and Kathryn (Rush) Spies. She was raised and educated in the Hinton area. On April 14, 1944, she married Donald Lang at Trinity Lutheran Church Hinton. They farmed near Hinton for many years and retired in Hinton. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aid Lamplighter and L.W.M.L. of the church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, quilting and her family. Survivors include her husband,Don; a son and his wife, Timothy and Deb Lang of Le Mars; three daughters and their husbands, Ragene and Larry Kimsey of Lake Stevens, Washington; and Sandra and David Junck of Arvada, Colorado; and Julie and Jim Albert of Hinton; a brother, Dick Spies and his wife Jeanette of Merrill; two sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Carroll of Hinton; and Joanne Richards and her husband, Don, of Hinton; a sister-in-law, Mildred Lang ,of Le Mars; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. She preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church rural Hinton. Burial in the church cemetery.
