Andrew Loutsch, Sr., a lifelong resident of the Remsen vicinity passed away at St. Vincent's hospital, Sioux City on March 22, 1961 following a sickness which lasted several weeks. He was 60 years of age.
Mr. Loutsch was born May 2, 1900 at Remsen. He resided at Remsen all his life with the exception of 9 years when he lived at Elkton, South Dakota.
His marriage to Mary Beelner took place January 27, 1926 at St. Mary's, Remsen.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Andrew John, Jr. of Remsen and a daughter, Kathleen, Mrs. Ed Guntren also of Remsen and eleven grandchildren: Joseph, Jean, Joyce, Jeffery, and Jerome Loutsch and Linda, David, Roger, Karen, Donna, and Julie Guntren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 25 with Msgr. F. P. Schultes officiating.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery under direction of the Fisch funeral home at Remsen. A wake will be held Thursday and Friday evenings at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Susanna (Hansen)Loutsch; a sister, Margaret (John Ritz) (1890-1929) and brothers: Andrew (1881-1898) and John A. (1896-1948).
Deceased was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Luxembourg Brotherhood of America.
