Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon of last week, January 25, for Mrs. Chris Beeck, 78, of Chatsworth, Iowa, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Chatsworth with Pastor harris Hostager officiating.

Meta M. Mangelson was born in Fehmein, Germany, of June 29, 1891, and passed away January 22, at the Akron Hospital following a long illness. On March 25, 1909, she was united in marriage with Chris Beeck at Dennison, Iowa. They resided in the Akron area most of their married lives until they retired and moved to Chatsworth in 1953.

Survivors include the wodower, a son, Paul Beeck, of Le Mars; five daughters, Mrs. Paul Goergen, of Granville, Ia.; Mrs. Chris Albert, of Hinton, Ia.; Mrs. Alvin Frerichs, Mrs. Edwin Frerichs and Mrs Vincent Feauto, all of Akron; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Meins, of Chatsworth and Dora Mangelson, in Germany; a brother, Jake mangelson, of Hawarden; twenty-seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Music at the funeral services cosisted of congregational singing of the hymns "Abide With Me" and "On Christ The Solid Rock I Stand" with Marie Degen as organist. Casket bearers were Leonard Koch, James albert, Edward Beeck, Donald Beeck, Robert Frerichs, and Ronald Beeck. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in Akron.
