CARL A. BEECK IS CALLED BY DEATH AT IOWA CITY

Rites Held Saturday For Lifelong Akron Vicinity Resident

Carl A. Beeck, 45, a lifelong resident of this vicinity, died at University Hospital at Iowa City, Iowa, Wednesday of last week following an extended illness.

Carl was born near Akron on September 15, 1922. On June 20, 1952, he was united in marriage with Norma Stotz. For the past fifteen years he was employed at the Afron Feed Mills.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, David, serving in the U. S. armed forcess in Vietnam, and Robert, at home; four daughters, Carla, Susan, Becky and Jane, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Carl Johnson, of Craig, Iowa; six brothers, Gus, Alvin, Henry, Emil, Albert and Chris, all of Akron.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron on Saturday afternoon, March 16, with Pastor Harris Hostager officiating. Music consisted of two vocal duets sung by Mrs. Norman Neilsen and Mrs. Darwyn Klemme, with Mrs. Glen Gabel as accompanist.

Casket bearers were Paul Beeck, Wayne Buum, Don Peters, Lloyd Meyer, William Miller and fay Smith, Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
