LAST RITES FOR ROBERT BRUNDEEN ARE HELD SUNDAY

Esteemed Farmer of Akron Vicinity Had Been Resident Here 26 Years

Robert Brundeen was born in Tranemo, Sweden, March 9, 1889, and grew to young manhood there, where he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

At the age of twenty years he came to the United States, coming directly to Akron, and has made this vicinity his home since then. On June 2, 1915, he was united in marriage with Miss Edith Erickson, and to this union were born three children. One daughter, Elvira, preceded him in death. Two sons, Arthur and Donald, with his widow, his aged mother, four sisters and one brother in Sweden, and three brothers, Joe and Arthur Brundeen, of Akron, and Victor Brundeen, of Westfield, and a host of relatives and friends are left to mourn his untimely passing. In the year of 1926 he united with the English Lutheran church of Akron and has been a faithful attendant since.

He had been in seemingly rugged health all his life until November 6, last fall, when he was suddenly stricken with a heart ailment and had been in bed at home until Friday, January 18, when he was removed to the Akron hospital; but though all that medical skill and human hands could accomplish was done, he grew steadily worse and passed away Thursday morning, January 24, 1935, at the age of less than 46 years.

He was a loving and devoted husband and father, a kind neighbor and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The community tenders its sympathy to the bereaved family.

The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the English Lutheran church in Akron, conducted by Rev. C. W. Samuelson. Suitable vocal selections were rendered by a quartet, consisting of Mrs. Eric Pearson, Ruth Samuelson, Axel Johnson and Clifford Johnson. The pallbearers were six boyhood friends in Sweden: Edor Johnson, Ernest Anderson, Arthur Johnson, John Frisk, Fred Claesson and Charley Johnson. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
