Melvern C. Ross

Melvern C. Ross, 66, died Wednesday (Feb. 4, 1981) in Roseville, California.

Services were held Friday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m., in East Lawn Mortuary Chapel. Father Francis Zegwaard of Holy Family church officiated. Burial was in East Lawn Sierra Hills.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Dillon, Alan Ross, Bill Aguierre, John Mertens, Neil Bryant and Roger Wehmeyer.

Mr. Ross was born April 27, 1915, in Miller, S. D., to Charles and Anna Ross. He graduated with a law degree from Creighton University and served as a staff sergeant in WWII. He was a graduate of Akron high school and served as acting postmaster in Akron for 2 years.

Survivors include two sister, Helen Schmidt, Santa Rosa, Calif., and Dorothy Kindig, Westfield; one brother, Herbert J. of Orangevale, Calif.; two foster sisters, Ethel Parisis, San Francisco and Lois Lipsmire of Ill.; three foster brothers, Leo Ross, Sioux City, Ray Ross, Bangor, Maine and Bob Ross of San Jose, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
