MRS. M. MASSEY IS CALLED BY DEATH

Mrs. Margaret Massey, an early pioneer resident of Union county, S. D., and of Woodbury county, Iowa, was called to her reward March 19, 1938, at her home in Nooksuck, Wash., at the ripe age of 87 years, retaining all her faculties to the last. She was born in Scotland, and at the age of five years came to the United States with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Ross, who resided in Akron vicinity for many years.

Mrs. Massey moved to Washington a number of years ago, but is remembered by many of theolder residents here, who regret to learn of the passing of this good woman.

Surviving relatives are two daughters, Mrs. adna Weeks, Nooksack, and Mrs. Glennie Nystrom, Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. Susan Hardy, of Ontario, Cal.; also 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A number of nephews and nieces live in Akron vicinity. Interment was in the family plot in Nooksack cemetery.
