Arden D. Rozell
Arden D. Rozell, 68, Akron, died at his home Wednesday (Sept. 5, 1979) of an apparent heart attack.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Immanuel Lutheran church in Akron. The Rev. Duane Olson officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery under direction of Schroeder funeral home, Akron.
Mr. Rozell was born Nov. 28, 1910, at Hawarden. He married Gladys Heyl Jan. 18, 1936, in Sioux City. He farmed until 1963, and also worked as a janitor for Akron public schools for 17 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church in Akron.
Pallbearers were Daryl Smith, LaVerle Rozell, Dale Hartman, Virgil Willer, Terry Christensen, and Roger Heyel.
Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Kathleen) Erks of Akron and Mrs. Roger (Sharon) Servis of Sioux City; a son, Richard of Marshalltown; five brothers, arthur and Arlo, both of Akron, Alva and Arvel, both of Le Mars, and Archie of Sioux City; five sisters, Mrs. Mae Neunaber and Mrs. Bob (Mona) Smith, both of Akron, Mrs. William (Merva) Hartman of Hawarden, Mrs. Mary Moss of Sioux City, and Mrs. Muriel Krueger of Janesville, Wis., and seven grandchildren.
