Obituaries

Remsen, Iowa - Robert Ernest Eppling, 87, Remsen, died Tuesday at a LeMars, Iowa, hospital. Services will be at 11am Friday in the First Lutheran Church, Kingsley, Iowa. The Rev Walter Resner will officiate. Burial will be in the Kingsley Cemetery under the direction of the Michaleson Funeral Home, Kingsley.

Mr. Eppling was born March 12, 1896, at Williston, Ohio. He married Martha Meister Feb 6, 1923 at Kingsley, Iowa. She died in 1962. He lived most his life in the farm community near Kingsley. he retired in 1961. He was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church at Kingsley. He was one of the 13 charter members of the church.

Survivors include two sons; Ervin of River Falls Wisc. and Gerald of Remsen, a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Laura) Hinkhouse of Correctionville, Iowa, 11 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
