Viola C. Gale

Viola C. Gale, 81, Akron, died unexpectedly at her home Sunday evening, Dec.13, 1981.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick’s Catholic church in Akron. Rev. Stanley Stone officiated. Burial was in Calvary cemetery in Le Mars, under direction of the Luedtke funeral home of Le Mars.

The Catholic Daughters of America recited the rosary at 4 p.m. Tuesday with the parish rosary at 8 p. m.

Viola Gale was born May 15, 1900, to John and Bridget Dolan Gale at rural Akron. She was a receptionist at the Akron Clinic, prior to retirement. She also worked previously at the Akron post office.

She was a charter member of the Akron court, Catholic Daughters of America and a member of the Hoschler American Legion auxiliary.

Survivors are nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lawrence, Earl, and Ralph, and one sister, Edna.
