Mrs. Joe Clayton

Mrs. Joe Clayton, 94, Kingsley, died March 7, 1976 at a Kingsley nursing home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist church of Kingsley with Rev. Howard Watson officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Sioux City. A prayer service will begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dickison-Michaelson funeral home, Kingsley.

Mrs. Clayton, the former Anna Camp, was born July 3, 1881, in Holly Springs. She was married to Joe Clayton Aug. 3, 1903, in Homick. Mr. Clayton died in 1944. The couple had farmed in Woodbury county a number of years. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors are two sons, Clinton of Pierson and Everett of Conway, Ark.; four daughters, Mrs. Lester (Maude) Montange of Kingsley, Mrs. Nellie Barth of Sioux City, Mrs. Al (Elsie) Carrier of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Lawrence (Eve) Jarland of Minneapolis; a sister, Mrs. Eva Hiland of Belvidere, III.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild
