Note: He is buried in Grace Hill Cemetery, Hawarden. He was married to Minnie Rembe. His mother's maiden name was Reveerts.

GEORGE EILKS RITES HELD IN LE MARS

Last rites were held Tuesday afternoon for George Eilks of Alton, who died Saturday, Aug. 29, of a heart ailment. Services were held at the Grace Lutheran church, Le Mars, of which Mr. Eilks was a member.

Survivors include the widow, one daughter, Mrs. J. B. Schiefen, Hawarden; two grandchildren, and two brothers, Henry Eilks of Le Mars and Herman Eilks, Cherokee.

Mr. Eilks was born July 30, 1898, in Plymouth county. He moved to Hawarden to farm until 1954 when he moved to Alton, working there for the Farmers Coop for several years.
