Mrs. Robert Crow

Mrs. Robert Crow, 71, of Merrill, Iowa, died Friday (April 26, 1985) in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Merrill United Methodist church. The Rev. Donald Bardole officiated. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery at Akron, under the direction of Schroeder funeral home in Akron. Visitation was held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. "How Great Thou Art", and "Rock of Ages", were sung by soloist, JoAnn Johnson. Margaret Marienau was organist.

Pallbearers were Calvin Dunham, Archie Dunham, Thomas Dunham, Clayton Jacobson, Darcy Jacobson, and Garry Jacobson.

Mrs. Crow, the former Ruth Elizabeth Dunham, was born August 28, 1913, in Union county, South Dakota, to Charles and Stella Dunn Dunham, Sr. She married Robert Crow March 12, 1938 in Elk Point, South Dakota. They farmed in the Akron, Westfield, and Merrill areas. They retired in 1969. Mr. Crow died March 9, 1971. She was an active member of the Merrill United Methodist church and a member of the United Methodist Women church group.

Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Dale (Donna) Holtz of Merrill, Mrs. Robert (Roberta) Bundy of Le Mars, Mrs. Alan (Ruth) Perrill of West Linn, Ore., and Mrs. William (Lois) Galles of Le Mars; three sons, Richard of Ninnekah, Okla., Charles of Merrill, and Dennis of El Toro, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six brothers, George of Palo Alto, Calif., Roy of Akron, Walter, Leo, Donald and Robert, all of Elk Point; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Friske, and Mrs. Betty Jacobson, both of Akron.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, a sister and two grandchildren.
