DIES FAR FROM HOME

Mrs. Wm. G. Gibson passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Bellwood, about two miles east of this city, last Friday, March 7, 1913. Her death was surrounded by unusually sad circumstances. She died quite suddenly after an illness of only about a day and a half, of pneumonia, with a complication of heart trouble. Mrs. Gibson came here from Washington a few months ago to visit the families of her daughter, Mesdames V. B. Boyd and Arthur Bellwood, and with old-time friends. Mrs. Boyd has been ill for some time and when her mother died was in a hospital in Sioux City, where she recently submitted to an operation.

Esther Anna Gibson was born in Indiana, April 20, 1850, and passed away at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 7 days. Deceased and her husband, Wm. G. Gibson, came to Akron in an early day and made their home here for many years. Seventeen years agothey moved to the state of Washington and their present home is there at Plum. Many character and the helpful and charitable spirit of Mrs. Gibson.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Chas. E. Gibson, of Canada; and four daughters, Mrs. V. B. Boyd and Mrs. Arthur Bellwood, of Akron, Ia.; Mrs. Mattie Grossman and Mrs. Clara Tomes, of Washington.

The many friends of the family extend their deepest sympathy in the sudden bereavement that has come to the.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Akron M. E. church, conducted by Rev. R. L. Stuart. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery.
