DEATH SUMMONS MRS. B. O. SEARLS
Graveside Rites Here Friday For Former Akron Resident
Relatives and friends here were saddened by information of the passing of Mrs. Bert O. Searles, 86, at a hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., Saturday evening, March 16.
Mrs. Searles, the former May Moore, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Moore, early-day Akron residents, grew to womanhood here. She was a sister of Orlean C. Moore and Mrs. John (Floy) Hedges, of this city, and is remembered here by friends for her gracious personality.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. in Minneapolis, and the body will be brought here for graveside services and burial Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Riverside cemetery.
Her husband the late B. O. Searls, was an employee of the Milwaukee railway company. Surviving in addition to the local relatives are one son, Cluett Searles, of Postville, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Arlene (Jos.) Griller, of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Evonne Wilson, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Searles was born May 9, 1878, at Dubuque, Iowa, and came to Akron with her parents at an early age.
