EMIL VONDRAK
Emil La Vern Vondrak, 52, died Saturday, May 11, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Vondrak was born Feb. 27, 1944, in Sioux City, the son of Emil A. and Christine (Schuttpelz) Vondrak. He graduated from Hinton Community School in 1962 and was a Plymouth County farmer his entire life. He married Patricia Elliott Jan. 2, 1965, in Sioux City. Mr. Vondrak was a past director of the Iowa Farm Bureau. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He served on the Hinton school board for 15 years and was actively involved in 4-H with his sons for 18 years. Survivors include his wife, four sons and their wives; Emil Richard and Barbara of Hinton; Daniel Edward and Sandra of Ames; Charles Albert and Karri of Hinton; Chad Steven and Stephanie of Sioux City; a brother Elmer and his wife Nina Vondrak of Hinton; six grandchildren. He preceded in death by his parents and a son, Patrick, in infancy.
