LAWRENCE VONDRAK
Lawrence E. Vondrak, 84, died Saturday, May 11, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital after a short illness. Mr. Vondrak was born August 30, 1911, in rural Sioux City, the son of Thomas and Grace (Maxey) Vondrak. He was a Plymouth County farmer and also was a corn sealer for ASCS for many years. He married Cecilia M. Beaulieu July 10, 1934, in Ellendale, Iowa. Mr. Vondrak was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He served on the election board of Perry Township and was a Perry Township assessor and trustee. He was a member of the Plymouth County Solid Waste Agency for 23 years. Survivors include his wife; a son Larry and his wife Peggy of Plymouth County; three daughters Delores Vondrak of Elk Point, S. D.; Mary Shull and her husband Donald of Le Mars; Julia Hartman and her husband John of Omaha; two sisters and their husbands Helen Schager and Don of Fortuna, Calif; Dorothy Windeshausen and Norm of Norfolk, Neb; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He preceded in death by a brother, Leo and a sister Agnes Hughes.
