DONALD MARKS
Donald Marks, 71, of Sioux City died Tuesday December 28, 1999, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Marks was born April 20, 1928, in Laurel, Nebraska, the son of Fred and Gladys (Murphy) Marks. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War 11. He married Delores “Dee” Murphy on September 4, 1950, in Sioux City. He was employed as a stockbroker first with Dupont then Lamson Brothers and then Shearson-Lehman brothers, retiring in 1986. She died November 17, 1999, in Sioux City. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and enjoyed sports. Survivors include three sons Douglas and his wife Michelle of Lawton, Iowa; Dennis and his wife Lisa of Omaha; Fred of South Sioux City; a brother and his wife, Richard and Kay of Merrill; three sisters, JoAnn and her husband Vincent Mann, and Shirley and her husband Doc Hansen all of Sioux City, Merrie Stinger of South Sioux City; a sister-in-law Judy Marks of Naples, Florida; three grandchildren. He preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
