DEATH OF MRS. HENRY IDEKER

Has Lived In Plymouth County Nearly All Her Life

Mrs. Emma Henrietta Ideker, wife of Henry Ideker, died at St. Vincent’s hospital in Sioux City early Tuesday morning. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. Mrs. Ideker was past 52 years of age.

Mrs. ideker was born August 18, 1870, at Blue Earth, Minn. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Beck, her father having died eleven years ago. Her mother is still living.

On October, 1870, she was made a member of the Christian church by the rite of holy baptism. She enjoyed the benefits of a Christian home and training, having been duly instructed in the Christian doctrine. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and remained faithful to her husband until her death.

On May 17, 1892, she was united in holy wedlock to Henry Ideker. To this union nine children were born, one child dying at the tender age of five days.

Those surviving her and deeply morning her loss are her bereaved husband, five sons, three daughters, a son-in-law, two daughters-in-law, five grandchildren, six brothers and four sisters, and many other relatives and friends.

Deceased enjoyed good health until about a year ago when illness of a serious nature set in and caused her severe discomfort. It was thought best to submit to an operation. Accordingly, she was operated upon at the St. Vincent’s hospital on June 1. The operation was successful, but after the first day following the operation her condition became worse, complications set in, and she grew weaker and weaker until she was called to the Great Beyond at 12:10 Thursday morning.

When deceased was two years old her parents moved to Plymouth county, where she has lived ever since. She was kindly thought, honored and respected by all who knew her. But above all the Lord honored her by keeping her in faith and taking her to her eternal home.

The children who survive are Mrs. George Casper of Lincoln township, Arthur and Elmer of Russel, Minn., Clara, Walter, Albert, Louis and Helen of Plymouth county. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the Trinity Lutheran church in Lincoln township at 2 o’clock, Rev. Torgler officiating.
