MRS. JOHN BEHRENS DIES IN SIOUX CITY
FUNERAL SATURDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. John Behrens, 81, Sioux City, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crescent Park Methodist church, Sioux City. Rev. Richard Pearson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of the W. Harry Christy funeral home, Sioux City.

Mrs. Behrens, the former May L. Malcom, was born May 20, 1885, at Anthon. She was married to John Behrens Feb. 6, 1912, at Sioux City. They farmed at Anthon, Hinton, Moville, and Westfield before moving to Sioux City six years ago. She was a member of the Crescent Park Methodist church.

Survivors are the widower; six sons, Gordon, Byrl, Loren and Malcom of Sioux City, and Norvin and Ted of Spokane, Wash.; six daughters, Mrs. Ruth Nason, Mrs. Lenore Banks and Mrs. Annabelle Banks of Westfield, Mrs. Janice Nason of Canon City, Colo., Mrs. Coral Shaw of Denver, Colo., and Vesta Behrens of Santa Monica, Calif.; a brother, Melvin E. Malcom of Richville, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Harshfield of South Sioux City, and Mrs. Robert Grier of Anthon; 39 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
