Mrs. Meta Theilen rites set Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Meta Catherine Theilen, 91, of 121 Fourth Ave. NW, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John American Lutheran church, Le Mars.

Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home, Rev. L.L. Beik and Rev. Robert Floy will officiate.

Meta Collmann was born Feb. 27, 1873, in Grant township near Le Mars. She was a lifelong resident of the couty. Her marriage to Henry B. Theilen took place March 15, 1894, in Preston township. Her parents were the late Henry Collmann Sr. and Anka Helgens Collmann.

Mrs. Theilen died at Sacred Heart hospital Thursday after a short illness. She was a patient at the hospital for two days.

Mr. and Mrs. Theilen farmed many years before retiring to Le Mars. He died in 1955.

Survivors are a son,Louis Theilen, Richmond, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Emma Scholer, Mrs. GErtrude Juhl and Mrs. Marjorie Nanninga, all of Le Mars; eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two brother, Albert Collmann, Le Mars, and Henry Collmann, Chatsworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Borchers and Mrs. Ben Theilen, and two brothers, William and Louis.

Mrs. Theilen was a member of St. John American Lutheran church and American Lutheran Church Women.
