Margaret Bunjes, 84, of Le Mars passed away early Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with Reverend Jean Morse of Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Wes Bunjes, Brad Bunjes, Kevin Krienert, and Michael Krienert.

Margaret Frasch was born July 17, 1929 in Yankton, South Dakota, to Adolph and Helen (Ulmer) Frasch. Margaret attended and graduated from Remsen Union High School. She was united in marriage to Heino Bunjes on June 30, 1949 in Le Mars. The couple were blessed with three children, Cindy, Jeff, and Steve. Margaret enjoyed being able to stay home and raise her children. Later in life, Margaret established a health food store in Le Mars.

Margaret enjoyed reading and spending time in her garden. She was also a very accomplished organist and pianist. While in high school, Margaret served as the church organist. Heino passed away May 12, 1999.

Survivors include her children, Jeffery Bunjes and his wife Carol of Alta, Iowa and Cindy Krienert and her husband Kenny of Brunsville, Iowa; 4 grandchildren: Wes Bunjes and his wife Kristie, Brad Bunjes and his wife Julie, Kevin Krienert, and Michael Krienert; 3 great grandchildren: Cade Bunjes, Blair Bunjes, and Grahm Bunjes; and a sister, Doris Ehlert of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Helen (Ulmer) Frasch; husband Heino; a son Steven on September 11, 1975; a brother, Filmore Frasch; 2 sisters, Carolyn Eichorn and Betty Nitzschke.
