DARRELL D. ROEPKE
Darrell Dean Roepke Jr., 47, of Le Mars died unexpectedly Thursday March 20, 1997, at Le Mars following as apparent heart attack. Services were held Monday, March 24, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Le Mars. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery rural Hinton, Iowa. Mr. Roepke was born November 8, 1949, at Kingsley Iowa to Darrell and Charlene (Oltmanns) Roepke. He attended Kingsley High School. He drove truck for several years and did carpentry work. He married Glenda Ruhland July 29, 1972, at Nuptune, Iowa. He married Teresa Schell April 22, 1989, at Le Mars. For the past five years he has been a salesman for Lamperts Lumber Company in Le Mars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and shooting pool. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Le Mars, F.O.E. (Eagles Club), Le Mars Sportsman Club and the Tuesday Night Bowling group. Survivors include his wife Teresa of Le Mars, his parents of Hinton, a son, Darin of Le Mars, four daughters, Karlene and her husband Dennis Stabes, Mindi, and Amie all of Merrill, Iowa, and Emily of Le Mars, a stepson, Scott Flewelling of Le Mars, two stepdaughters, Angie and Jeni Flewelling of Le Mars, a brother and his wife Gary and Carole of Merrill, two sisters, Pam Stoltze of Hinton, Iowa and Jerelyn and her husband Jerry Dahl of Arlington, South Dakota and several nieces and nephews. He preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Mark Stoltze, and his grandparents.
