ALBERT F. TIESLER
Albert Tiesler, 72, of Hinton, Iowa, died unexpectedly Tuesday November 10, 1998, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral services were held on Saturday November 14, 1998, at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Bert Burwell officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the Casper American Legion Post 477 of Hinton, Iowa, was in Memorial Park Cemetery Sioux City. Albert Fred Tiesler was born January 5, 1926, at Rushmore Minnesota to Fred and Ella (Pape) Tiesler. When Albert was 3 years old, the family moved to a farm east of Hinton. He attended county school and later graduated from Hinton High School in 1944. Albert served his country in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948. Albert was united in Marriage to the former Marlys Witt on April 24, 1953, at St. John Lutheran Church in Le Mars. The couple farmed 3 miles west of Hinton until 1976. Albert drove school bus for the Hinton Community School district for 30 years and for the last 15 years he had served as the Transportation Supervisor until his retirement in 1990. Albert was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Casper American Legion Post 477 of Hinton Iowa. Survivors include his wife Marlys of Hinton, 2 sons Kenneth Tiesler and his wife Donna of Merrill and Scott Tiesler of Hinton and his special friend Eydie Cook of Le Mars, 2 grandchildren Elizebeth and Stacy Tiesler of Merrill, 3 nieces Connie Wahlstrom, Sandra Muecke, Renae Buss, a Nephew Keith Kuschen, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Dorothy Luschen,. He preceded, in death by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law Robert and Ethel Tiesler and a sister Dorothy Krause.
