Note: He is probably buried in the Kingsley Cemetery with his wife. His wife's maiden name was Shrope.

William Boom Taken By Death

Came To Le Mars With Holland Colony

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Congregational church at Kingsley for William Boom, 63, who died Sunday in a hospital at Sioux City following an operation. Rev. L. C. Olson conducted the services.

Mr. Boom was born January 15, 1878, in Holland and came with his parents to Le Mars when he was four years old. The family lived here for a few years and then moved to Kingsley and farmed in Henry township. Mr. Boom operated the same farm near Kingsley for the past thirty-five years.

He leaves his wife, Bertha, a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Lynn, of Sioux City; three brothers, Henry of Belmont, Wis.; Garret of Mountain Grove, Mo., and Albert of Sioux Falls, and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Brooker of Omaha, Mrs. Hannah Hawkins of Le Mars and Mrs. Tonia Shoup of Mountain Grove.
