Mrs. William Boom
Mrs. William Boom, 88,2133 Isabella St., died July 17, 1975, at a Sioux City hospital.
Mrs. Boom, the former Bertha Mae Shrope, was born Dec. 17, 1886, at Clarence. She moved to Kingsley with her parents. She was married to William Boom March 10. 1904, in Le Mars. Mr. Boom died Dec. 7, 1941. She moved to Sioux City in 1942 and was employed as a professional seamstress. Mrs. Boom was a member of the Mayflower Congregational church, the Irene Goodwin circle of the church, and the Bancroft golden age club and the golden years club. She formerly was a 4-H club leader.
Survivors include a daughter. Mrs. Ethel 0. Lynn. Sioux City: two sisters, Mrs. Mable Boom, Portland. Ore., and Mrs. Jwan Luna. Burlingame. Calif.:
three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Heaton-Westcott funeral home. Rev. Curtis Lindahl and Rev. Oren Jones Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in
Kingsley cemetery.Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Morris. Bill and Doug Budd. and Gerald. Tom and Martin Baldes. Memorials have been established in Mrs. Boom's name for the Mayflower Congregational church and the American Cancer Society.
