Mrs. Marie Littleton Taken By Death
Mrs. Marie Littleton, 85, passed away Saturday morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Thompson, following an illness of several weeks.
Mrs. Littleton was born December 24, 1861, at Hanover, Germany. She came to the United States and to Guttenberg, Iowa, in 1878, and to this vicinity in 1890. After her marriage to James Littleton they moved to Struble, Iowa, in 1902. They also lived at Pascagoula, Miss.
Mr. and Mrs. Littleton operated a meat market in Hinton for a number of years. He passed away in 1912.
Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. Thompson, include a brother, Henry Weibking, of Northrop, Minn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Haskins of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Lena Speaker, of Long Beach, Calif.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Heaton funeral home. Rev. A.J. Quirin, pastor of the Hinton Methodist church officiated and burial was in Graceland Park cemetery at Sioux City.
