DONNA CAROL ANN JUZEK PLUEGER obituary August 4, 1940 -- June 12, 2002

Donna Carol Ann Plueger was born August 4, 1940 at Merrill, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Wilma (Lake) Juzek. She graduated from Liberty Consolidated High School in 1959. Following graduation she worked at Sacred Heart (Floyd Valley) Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa until 1961.

On December 30, 1959, Donna and Leonard Charles Plueger were united in marriage at St. John's Lutheran Church in Merrill, Iowa. The couple made their home on a farm northwest of Le Mars. In 1983, Donna began working for area nursing homes and later worked for Tyson Foods. She began work at Wells Dairy in 1994 and continued her employment until retiring in April of 2001 due to health problems.

Donna was a member of Christ Lutheran Church (Grant Township), rural Le Mars. She attended the Christian Women's Club, played in a Canasta club, and was an avid watcher of soap operas. Donna also loved wildlife, especially wolves.

Donna will be lovingly remembered by her husband Leonard of Le Mars; three sons Daniel Plueger and his wife Krista of Le Mars, David Plueger of Sioux City, Iowa and Dean Plueger and his wife Marie of Ballwin, Missouri; two daughters Barbara Plueger and her special friend Art Gourdine of Huntington Beach, California, and Becky Olson and her husband Shawn of Le Mars, Iowa; three grandchildren Trey, Trent and Hailey; and a brother Robert Williams of Merrill, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Gary Grant Plueger who passed away in 1961; and a brother Marvin Juzek.
