DEATH OF L.L. PAGE
L. L. Page, the aged father of Mrs. F. M. Roseberry, whose home was at Mitchelville died at the hospital in Des Moines on Thursday, he having been in the hospital for treatment for paralysis with which he had been afflicted for about three years. The remains were brought to Le Mars on Friday evening and the funeral will be held from the Roseberry home on South Main Street on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Page has been in Le Mars at the home of her daughter for a few weeks, her health having been very poor. The shock of her husband's death was a severe blow to her.

News of the death of Levi Lyman Page was received in this city on Thursday, July 30, by his daughter, Mr. F. M. Roseberry.
Mr. Page was born in Norwalk, Ohio, April 28, 1830 and came to Iowa and settled at Iowa City in 1853 at which place he was united in marriage to Miss Amanda J. Ewing in 1854. Four children blessed this union. Arthur E. Page of Frederic, Wis., Barton E. Page, who lost his life at Chicago in the Cold Storage Fire in 1893, James Harry Page of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. F. M. Roseberry of this city.
After living in Iowa fourteen years, he moved with his family to Chicago, where they lived until 1883 when they returned to Iowa.
Mr. Page was well known in this county having lived here for a number of years holding offices and at one time being the postmaster of the town of Remsen. About two years ago Mr. Page suffered a stroke of paralysis which rendered him quite helpless. He was placed in a hospital at Des Moines for treatment about four weeks ago at which place he died on July 30, from a second stroke of paralysis.
Mr. Page was a member of the Masonic Lodge and had been for more fifty years.
The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. M. Roseberry, at 2:30 pm, Rev. W. H. Ensign of the Presbyterian Church conducting the services.
The floral decorations were very numerous, many beautiful emblems from the friends and from the lodges at Mitchelville and Des Moines and friends in this county which show the high esteem in which he was held.
His widow will remain in this city at the home of Mrs. Roseberry.
