FUNERAL OF MRS. PAGE

The funeral of Mrs. L. L. Page, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Roseberry (the former Della Page) on Wednesday after a long illness, was held at the latter's home. The services were conducted by Rev. W. H. Ensign of the Presbyterian Church and the remains were interred in the city cemetery beside those of her husband.

Many beautiful floral tributes spoke eloquently of the life of the deceased and bore evidence that others shared with the brereaved ones in their sorrow. She was a member of the Eastern Star order for a great many years.

The pallberarers were E.L. Townsend, Henry John, U.P. Thielman, I.T. Martin, J.G. Smaltz and W. G. Boldt.

The deceased whose maiden name was Amanda J. Ewing was born in Baltimore, Maryland on Nov. 14, 1832. She was married at Iowa City in 1854 to Levi L. Page. They lived for about ten years in Remsen coming there in the early eighties. Three sons and one daughter were born to them; Arthur E. Page of Frederic, Wis., Harry Page of St. Louis, MO., and Della Page Roseberry of LeMars.

Another son, Barton E. Page was captain in the Chicago Fire Dept. and lost his life in the memorable fire at the World's Fair Exposition Grounds.

Mrs. Barton Page came from Chicago, but the sons were unable to attend the funeral.
