Note: According to other family obituaries her first name is Maybelle and her maiden name is Riordan.
Mrs. Frank Moffatt was born in Beaver City, Wisconsin, September 1865, and died at her home in Westfield, September 4, 1926.
She taught school in 1882 and was married in 1884. She leaves her husband, seven children and eleven grandchildren, several brothers and sisters.
Her children, Clarence, in California; Melvin at Gaddes, S. D.; Vinton at Brunsville; Christy, Charles, and Mrs. Vande Braak near Westfield, and Miss Bessie at home.
The funeral service was held at the home by Rev. Tower, burial at Akron cemetery.
A very large crown attended. Beautiful flowers were brought.

------------------------------Mrs. Frank Moffatt, of Westfield, a former resident of the Millnerville locality, died at her home in Westfield, Saturday night after a long and painful illness of cancer of the stomach.
She is survived by her husband and seven children—Melvin, of Geddes, S. D.; Clarence, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Charles and Christy, on farms near Westfield. Mrs. Julia Van De Braak, near Westfield; Bessie, who has faithfully cared for her mother at home, and Vinton, who lives near Ruble. A sister, Mrs. H. F. Dreeszen, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Phil Carlin, are in Sioux City.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the family home and interment made in the Akron cemetery.
Many friends and old neighbors attended the funeral to pay their last respects to the fine woman, whose loss to her family and community will be greatly felt.
Mrs. Moffatt was sixty-five years old and had been a resident of Plymouth county for over twenty-five years, coming to the farm on the Ridge road from the Correctionville neighborhood, where still many relatives remain.
