DEATH CLAIMS EARLY SETTLER

MRS. MICHAEL GABEL DIES AT HER HOME FOLLOWING PAINFUL ILLNESS

Death claimed Mrs. Bertha Gabel, wife of Michael Gabel, early settler In Plymouth county, at her home, 215 Second Street Sw., following an illness of several weeks on Wednesday evening. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and services will be hold in that church this morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. J. J. Vollmar, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Interment will be made at Lakefield. Minn., where her first husband is burled.

Mrs. Bertha Gabel was born in Germany February 9, 1867, and when she was a year old her parents came to America and settled in Wisconsin. She was united in marriage in 1883 with William Erbs. Mr. Erbs died in 1919. She was married to Michael Gabel in 1924.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Gabel, and her son, William Erbs, of Windom, Minn., and her daughters. Mrs. Wm. Kounkel, and Mrs. A. W. Kounkel, of Stanton township, and Mrs. W. P. Schulz, of Lakefield, Minn., and one sister.

Mrs. Gabel was a devoted wife and mother, a good neighbor and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
