Earl Leonard Ross, Akron, died Friday (March 8, 1985) in the Akron nursing home of a brief illness.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11 in the Schroeder funeral home in Akron. The Rev. Peter Peterson officiated. Linda Swanson, soloist, sang "How Great Thou Art", and "Beyond the Sunset",- accompanied by Carol Harris. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
Pallbearers were Clayton Jacobson, Darcy Jacobson, Garry Jacobson, Ralph Hebeler, Lyle Jacobs and Ernest Lucken.
Mr. Ross was born Oct. 4, 1893 to Walter W. and Myrtle Taggart Ross near Akron. He was employed as a farmer and truck driver for many years. He retired to Akron in 1960.
Survivors include one brother, Theodore of Modesto, Calif., and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Vera Jacobson, two brothers, L. D. Ross and Guy Ross
