Mrs. David O. Marchant died at her home on South Cedar street on Saturday evening following a brief illness from bronchitis and lung trouble.

The deceased, who maiden name was Louisa Moist, was fifty three years of age and was born in Stephenson county, Illinois in March, 1860. She was twice married, her first husband being Thomas Adams with whom she lived in South Dakota. Eighteen years ago she was united in marriage with David Marchant who died about six years ago.

Mrs. Marchant is survived by her aged father and several brothers and sisters. They are Ben and Miss Addie Moist, living in Le Mars with the aged father, Mrs. Deliah Dean of Anamoose, N. D., Mrs. Mary Bogenrief, of Hinton, Mrs. Lizzie Root,of Midland, S. D., Sam Moist, of Chicago and Sylvester Moist, of Monroe, S. D.

The funeral will be held this morning at the late residence on Cedar street.
