Young Girl Dies

Leona Gertrude Mansfield Was Member of Well Known Pioneer Family

Funeral services for Leona Gertrude Mansfield, 13 year old,who died Thursday in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Mansfield, of Liberty township, was held Saturday morning in St. Joseph church at Ellendale and interment made in Calvary cemetery in Sioux City, Rev. Father T.J. McKenna, of Merrill, and Ellendale, officiated at the services.

Leona was born July 9, 1917, in Liberty township.

She leaves to mourn her death her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Mansfield, four brothers, Joseph Mansfield, of Huron, S. D., Edward and John Mansfield, of Sioux City,and James Mansfield living at home and five sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hall, Mrs. Alice Worden and Nona Mansfield, of Sioux City, Mrs. Mary Ream, of Perry township and Frances Mansfield living at home.
