Note: His mother's maiden name was Warnock.

Alva Rollins

Alva Jennings Rollins, 71, rural Le Mars, died Wednesday at St. Luke west hospital, Siou City, after an illness of eight months. He had been hospitalized for a month.

Mr. Rollins was born March 14, 1898, at Battle Creek and lived in Woodbury and Plymouth counties most of his lefe. He was a retired farmer.

His marriage to Myra E. Donlin took place in 1924 at Dakota City. His parents were the late Frank and Margaret Warnock Rollins.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Adaville United Methodist church, rural Merrill. Burial will be in Merrill Hillside cemetery under direction of the Maure funeral home. Rev. Clair Odell will officfiate.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Colin (Phillis) Collmann, Ireton and Mrs. Lowell (Joyce) Baldwin, Merrill; five sons, Lester, Harold and Paul, all of Le Mars. Frank and John of Akron; 213 grandchildren; a great-grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Ruby Berner, Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1967 and a brother, sister and two grandchildren.

Mr. Rollins was a member of the United Methodist church.
