PIONEER DIES IN PRESTON TOWNSHIP
SEHRENDT CRAMER DIES EARLY THIS MORNING SICK FOR ONLY TWO DAYS
Behrendt Cramer, who for the past two years made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Abrendt in Grant twonship, died at her homeearly this morning. He was 81 years old at the time of his death. Death was due to old age.
Behrendt Cramer was born in Ostfriesland, Germany, on Sept. 30, 1841. While living in Germany he was married to Miss Wapke [or Woobke] Lambertes. In 1882, he and his wife came to America and came direct to Plymouth county. After living in the county for a few years he bought land in Preston twonship. In 1900 his wife died, leaving him with two sons and a daughter.
He leaves to mourn his loss a daughter, Mrs. Fred Ahrendt, where he has been making his home for the last two years, and two sons, Henry and Gerhart. Sixteen grand-children and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held from the Christ Lutheran church in Grant township, Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Rev. J. d. Meyer officiating.
