Mrs. Pearl Michael Dies Friday After A Long Illness

Mrs. Pearl May Michael passed away Friday, June 27, 1952, after three months' illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wayne Lias, in Westfield, Iowa, aged 60 years and 16 days.

She was born near Greenville, Ohio, June 11, 1886. When a small child, her folks moved to a farm near Hartford City, Indiana. On September 14, 1907, she was united in marriage with Harry Michael. To this union two daughters were born. After living in Indiana for ten years, they moved to Corwith, Iowa, and from there they later moved to Westfield, Iowa, where she has lived the rest of her life. She was a member of the Congregational church of Westfield, and also a member of the Ladies' Aid.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Lias and Mrs. Vernon Lias, both of Westfield; two brothers, Howard Young, of Huntington, Indiana, and Walter Young, of Akron, Iowa, and six grandchildren and' four great-grandchildren'.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p. m., in the Congregational church at Westfield, Rev. 0. F. Elbe officiating. Interment was in Riverside cemetery, Akron.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Michael, 66, longtime resident here who passed away Friday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wayne Lias after a brief sickness will be at 2 p. m. in the Westfield Congregational church on Monday. Burial will be in the Riverside cemetery at Akron under the direction of Rossow, funeral home also' of Akron, la.

Mrs. Michael was born on June 11, 1886. in Ohio. She had been a resident of this community for 37 years.

Surviving her are Mrs. Wayne Lias, Mrs. Vernon Lias, both of Westfield, Two brothers. Walter Young and Howard Young of Maurcic, Ind. and her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren also a great number of friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
