Wyndham R. Payne, 67, former Kingsley resident, died Aug. 29, at hiss home in Benton Harbor, Mich., following a heart attack.

Mr. Payne was associated with his father the late Randolph Payne in the bank at Kingsley and also Payne’s Pharmacy in the same building. he moved to Benton Harbor in 1931, and for a number of years was a bank receiver. At the time of his death he was a executive for the Nylen Products, Inc., of Bridgman, Mich..

Mrs Payne the former Cora Featherston of Kingsley, had returned to Oak Park, Ill., to spend a few days with her sister-in-law, following the death of her brother Elmer J. Featherston, the previous week. She was notified of her husband’s death and rushed home. She survives as does a sister.
