MRS. CORA PAYNE IS BURIED MONDAY AT KINGSLEY CEMETERY
Mrs. Cora F. Payne, 76, of Higman park, Benton Harbor, Mich., died Thursday, July 9. at a hospital, where she was admitted last Tuesday afternoon.
She was the widow of Wyndham Payne, former secretary-treasurer of Nylen Products Co., Bridgman. He died August 30, 1955.
Mrs. Payne was born June 20, 1883 in Kingsley. She and Mr. Payne moved to Benton Harbor from Villisca, in 1931.
Besides her husband, a son and daughter preceded her in death. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Elmer S. Kitterman of Kingsley, and three brothers, Gregg and Walter Featherston of Le Mars, and Fred Featherston of Johnson, Ill.
Mrs. Payne was past matron of Garfield chapter, Order of Eastern Star, at Kingsley. She also was a member of the First Congregational church in Benton Harbor.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Dey Bros. chapel at Benton Harbor. Committal services and burial in the Kingsley cemetery were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
