Laura Klave, 55, of Le Mars went to be with her Lord Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Le Mars.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars with Father Paul Eisele officiating. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will be Wednesday after 3:00 p.m. at the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home with a 4:00 p.m. Parish Rosary followed by a 6:30 Scriptural Wake Service. Visitation will continue Thursday morning at the church from 9:30 until service time. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Pallbearers will be her nephews and nieces.

Laura Eleanor Mullally was born October 26, 1957 in Le Mars, Iowa to Michael Mullally Sr. and Marie (Hames) Mullally. Laura graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1976. In January of 1977 Laura was united in marriage to Keith Mesner in Atlantic, Iowa. Laura attended Western Iowa Community College graduating with a degree in accounting. Laura was later united in marriage to David Klave on May 14, 1988 in Le Mars.

As a young girl, Laura assisted in the family business at Lally’s Eastside Restaurant. Following graduation Laura worked at Town and Country Vet Clinic in Le Mars. Laura worked for Mike and Judy at the Eastside and later purchased the restaurant in 2003 until selling the business in 2009 to her brother Tom.

Laura was a member of St. James Catholic Church and enjoyed teaching CCD classes for several years. She also enjoyed reading, puzzles and going shopping with family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She will always be “Mamo” to her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, David Klave of Le Mars; four children: Erika Nemmers and her husband Kevin of Le Mars and their children, Kaden, Joshua, and Analeigh, Alanna Koenig and her friend Adam Nissen of Aurelia, IA, Ryan Klave of Sioux Falls, SD, and Katharine Klave of Le Mars; two brothers: Larry (JoEllen) Mullally of Marcus, and Tom (Patty) Mullally of Le Mars; six sisters: Margene (Joe) Geary of Hinton, Susie (Rocky) Bunjes of Le Mars, Karen (Mike) Pommier of Winterset, IA, JoAnn (Dan “Horn”) Singer, Margie Mullally and her friend Warren Steinbeck, and Malea (Kim) Penne all of Le Mars; two sisters-in-law: Nancy Mullally and Judy Mullally of Le Mars; her father-in-law, Ken Klave of Le Mars; and two sisters-in-law, Kathy Robinson of Sioux City and Terri (John) Califano of South Bend, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Sr. and Marie (Hames) Mullally; three brothers, Peter Mullally in infancy, Ronald Mullally and Michael Mullally; a niece Mariah Davis; and her mother-in-law, Audrey Klave. ©
