Irene, the two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs. W. R. Payne of Kingsley died at a local hospital in Le Mars on Sunday morning. Death was due to infection in the blood caused, it is thought, from the bite of an insect which she sustained while the family was o n a vacation at Chetak Lake.
The child was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wyndham Payne, of Kingsley.
The remains were taken to Kingsley where the funeral was held yesterday. Members of the Featherston and Steele families went from here to attend the funeral.
