Kenneth Sampson Young Farmer Taken By Death
Well Known Plymouth County Resident Dies After Five Months Illness
Kenneth H. Sampson, 33, a well known farmer living northeast of Akron, died Monday, August 28. He had suffered since early April with rheumatism. Heart failure was ascribed as the cause of death.
Kenneth Homer Sampson was born October 7, 1905, at Kingsley. Iowa. On July 11, 1927, he was united in marriage with Ena Marie Hersch of Remsen, Iowa. He is survived by his wife and four daughters, Virginia Lee, Maryland Jean, Joy Ellen and Joyce Helen; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Sampson of Craig, Iowa; two brothers, Roy of Craig and Otto in California, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Berger of Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Sampson was an upright, industrious citizen; a kind and devoted husband and father and a valued and helpful friend and neighbor.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron, Rev. Ernest G. Svenson officiating. There was a brief service at the home. Arden Johnson and Miss Lula Classen sang. Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Berger and two sons of Fort Worth Texas, came to attend the funeral.
