Early Settler Taken By Death
Mrs. Herman Harms Passes Away Sunday
Mrs. Herman Harms, 77, long time resident of Plymouth county, died at her home in Le Mars February 9.
Alma Johanna Gerdes was born March 11, 1864, at Upshert, Germany, and came to America when a young woman.
She was married to Herman Harms, December 5, 1884 and they farmed in Johnson and Washington townships for many years.
She is survived by her husband and children, Henry Harms, of Brunsville, Mrs. Mary Utech, of Leeds, Mrs. Minnie Plueger of Odin, Minn., Mrs. Edith Heeren of Ruble, Mrs. Anna Heien of Agar, S. D., twenty-eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in St. John's Lutheran church, Rev. H. Flentje of Brunsville officiating.
Mauer funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
